Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactThe use of color is what initially drew me to this image. Purple/blue/orange is just about my favorite combination of colors. When I got a closer look, I found the choice of image really striking. I agree with your artist comments about her eyes, and I think the way that you've applied the textures emphasizes them well.
You did a nice job with the textures. They could have really obscured the piece and/or been overwhelming, but there's just enough of them that it adds atmosphere and emphasis.
The only (really minor) criticism that I have is that your signature is hard to read, and for me it draws away from the effectiveness of the image, because once my eye was drawn to the signature I was looking at it trying to figure out what it. It's purely a personal thing; it could be my monitor or something.
Overall, I think this is a great piece though. Good luck in the contest!
